Inventory Control Supervisor

Olympia Foods, a maker of Greek and Mediterranean foods located in Franklin Park, Illinois is seeking a Process Improvement Manager to join their team!  The Inventory Control Manager will work across various departments within the company to implement new inventory-centric process and streamline existing ones. The starting pay may be negotiated based on industry experience & references. The Inventory Control Manager will report to the Corporate Controller and Purchasing Manager.

The Inventory Control Manager has overall responsibility for tracking incoming and finished goods, materials, packaging, supplies, etc., required in the warehousing and distribution of customer products. Provides accounting support regarding inventory issues. Reporting to this position are pizza inventory specialist and cycle counters. The position requires direct involvement with daily operations and future projects to assure activities support facility goals and objectives.

Essential Functions

  • Support the facility Key Performance Indicators (KPI) consistently meet / exceed established goals, including but not limited to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, quality, productivity, sanitation, and maintenance. Maintain daily reports that are established to measure daily, weekly and monthly KPI’s.
  • Maintain existing and implement new inventory control systems that meet ongoing and future facility needs
  • Develop and manage the inventory cycle count program.
  • Provide floor support to Operations Supervisors and hourly associates regarding inventory issues and office support to the accounting and receiving/shipping office personnel.
  • Track day-to-day facility inventory costs as they affect facility KPI’s and effectively communicate results to appropriate team members.
  • Ensure daily communications and shift meetings provide the necessary information for employees to do their jobs consistently well while making them feel a real part of the team

Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma/GED required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred logistics, supply chain, or related field
  • Two (2) years or more in manufacturing/production/distribution inventory required
  • Two (2) years or more supervisory experience required
  • Two (2) years or more PC Inventory and accounting skills required
  • Intermediate computer skills required
  • Knowledge of ERP warehouse systems preferred
